Due to international trade, chilli spread rapidly around the world as early as the 16th century and today it is hard to imagine our cuisine without it. Biova offers you a varied and high quality range of different types of chillies with different degrees of sharpness. While ordinary peppers without pungency are marked with 0 Scoville and peppers with 100 - 500 Scoville depending on the variety, the hottest of the approximately 4000 chilli varieties worldwide, Carolina Reaper, with a pungency of 2,200,000, can only be consumed in very small doses.
Exotic chili - assortment
There is something for everyone in Biova's chilli varieties, depending on how hot you like it. Our top sellers include, for example, the chili flakes made from cayenne pepper, which, however, have nothing to do with pepper, but are a synonym for ground chilies. In the kitchen, Cayenne is a true all-rounder due to its fiery spiciness with 10,000 - 15,000 Scoville and its slightly smoky taste with a slight bitter note. One of the most popular varieties, the Jalapeno Chili, which scores with its fruity pungency of 5.000 - 25.000 Scoville and its harmony with many dishes such as Chili Con Carne or Goulash, is available as well as the smoked variety, which is also called Chipotle. If you like it even hotter, you should take a look at one of the hottest chillies in the world with us, the Bird Eye Chillies from Uganda with 100.000 - 140.000 Scoville. In addition, all chilli packages marked with the European organic seal are sold exclusively organic.
Our aim is to offer you a large number of high-quality chilli varieties, but at the same time to meet our high standards, such as fair wages for farmers and processors in the respective countries and a clear rejection of child labour. In addition, high standards in cultivation, processing and the raw materials used are prerequisites for our import and Europe-wide sales. We are looking forward to your inquiry!
