Yukishio deep salt from Japan |

From the small Pacific island of Mijakojima, in the extreme south of Japan, comes one of the most unusual natural salts - the fine powdery Yuki Shio. This salt is extracted from the cleanest deep water in the Pacific Ocean according to an extraordinary and very complex process. The fine dusty salt is very complex in taste, its mineral content is unusually high. In 2000, the Yuki Shio salt received a day in the Guinness Book of Records as the world´s most mineral-rich table salt.
